The 7th through 9th grade covered the subject of the Two Spirits, and 10th through 12th grade covered the Bible. Pray that the YP would continue to exercise their spirit and read the Word after SST.
” It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words which I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.”
( John 6:63 )
Pray that this SST would be a landmark in the lives of the YP, and that, at this pivotal point, the YP would consecrate their lives and futures to the Lord absolutely for His purpose and glory.
“Your people will offer themselves willingly in the day of your warfare, in the splendor of their consecration. Your young men will be to you like the dew from the womb of the dawn.”
(Psalm 110:3)
Pray that each YP would continually confess their sins to obtain restoration through forgiveness
“…that they may receive forgiveness of sins”
(Acts 26:18)
Pray that the Lord Jesus would appear to each YP, and that His appearing would give them a vision.
“And I said, Who are You, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus, whom you persecute. But rise up and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a minister and a witness both of the things in which you have seen Me and of the things in which I will appear to you;”
(Acts 26:15-16)
Pray that the heart of each YP would be prepared for SST. May each one’s heart be the good earth to hear and understand the word and bear fruit.
“But the one sown on the good earth, this is he who hears the word and understands, who by all means bears fruit and produces, one a hundredfold, and one sixtyfold, and one thirtyfold.”
(Matt 13:23)
Please pray for the rich anointing and outpoured Spirit of power upon each of the brothers.
“And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, even as the Spirit gave to them to speak forth. “
(Acts 2:4)
Pray as the Body with the helmet of salvation, especially to fight for the minds and hearts of the youngest and newest ones among us. Pray that the enemy would have no ground in their minds concerning any matters of truth or practice.
“And receive the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which Spirit is the word of God, by means of all prayer and petition, prayingat every time in spirit and watching unto this in all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints.”
(Eph. 6:17-18)
The young people will stay in dormitory style housing, eat in the university cafeteria, and attend meetings on campus. Please pray for the smooth and seamless service provided by the university staff in areas like dorm management, food preparation, and climate control.
“In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God”
(Philippians 4:6)
This summer, 261 young people and serving ones will gather in Sonoma State University for the 2019 Bay Area SST. Please pray: For their safe travel, and that the Lord will keep their going out and their coming in.
“Jehovah will keep you from all evil; He will keep your soul. Jehovah will keep your going out and your coming in from now and to eternity.”
(Psalm 121:7-8)
Dear saints,
In following the footsteps of the College Training, we felt that it would be good to also send out to the saints some key prayer burdens for SST. We hope that many of the saints would be burdened to remember our next generation in their prayers. Each year, the SST is a most critical time as they spend one week being under the healthy teaching and eating the heavenly diet.
